World Championship Courses.

The Royal Melbourne Golf Club has been host to many tournaments including the 2013 World Cup, 2013 Australian Masters and the 1998 and 2011 Presidents Cups.

Earlier events included the 1959 Canada Cup which was then named the World Cup which was also hosted in 1972 and 1988. The Australian Women’s Open was held in 2012 and 2015. The Club supports amateur events and has for many years been host the Australia Master of the Amateurs. In October 2014 the Club hosted the Asian Pacific Amateur Championship supported by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, the Masters Tournament and The R&A.

The Royal Melbourne Golf Club strongly supports its obligation to the sport of golf and has made world class facilities available to many amateur and professional golfers. Few players of world renown remain who have not walked the fairways of Royal Melbourne.

ISPS Women's Australian Open

A huge success at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club. 

World No. 1 Lydia Ko has won the 2015 ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at Royal Melbourne. It is the 17-year-old Ko’s first victory as the No. 1-ranked player. The New Zealander is also the youngest-ever Open winner in tournament history.
