A Day to Remember
Firstly a warm welcome to Royal Melbourne and the Sandbelt -we trust your experience is a memorable one. The Royal Melbourne Golf Club is a private club and as such playing golf is primarily limited to Members and their guests. The Club however does offer some restricted playing times to interstate and overseas visitors.
Visitor Playing Days
International and Interstate visitors are welcome to play at Royal Melbourne on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays excluding public holidays and subject to availability.
Royal Melbourne has two championship 18 hole golf courses. For the enjoyment of all, visitors must belong to a golf club and have a current handicap of or less than 27 for Men and 36 for Women. International bookings of four players or more will require the use of at least one forecaddie for each group.
Fees and Payment Options
Interstate Guests: The green fee for 18 holes is $300AUD per person.
Overseas Guests: The green fee for 18 holes is $500AUD per person.

When making a booking, the following is required before any booking can be confirmed.
- Name(s) of all players
- Handicap certificate (overseas) or Golflink number (interstate)
- Letter of introduction from your home Club
- Payment of green fees in full at time of booking
Most credit cards are accepted for the payment of green fees. (a credit card fee may apply)
In the event of a cancellation more than one week out, green fees will not be refunded
Visitors have full access to Clubhouse facilities, including the locker rooms and members bar
A full driving range, short game facility and large putting green are available for visitors use prior to play. – Complimentary practice balls are provided.
The Royal Melbourne Golf Club is a fully licensed facility -Therefore BYO food or beverages is not permitted in the Clubhouse. Smoking is not permitted within the Clubhouse and mobile phones may only be used in the designated telephone room.
Pace of Play
Royal Melbourne is committed to a pace of play of 4 hours & 10 minutes for 18 holes, which ensures that everyone enjoys playing the course in a reasonable time. We recommend that you play from the tee markers that suit your ability, and always play ‘ready golf’ whenever possible. Course Rangers patrol both courses and all players are required to follow any instructions given by them.
